List Of Ingredients To Avoid

DMDM Hydantoin and Urea: 2 preservatives that release formaldehyde which may cause joint pain, cancer, skin reactions, allergies, depression, headaches, chest pains, ear infections, chronic fatigue, dizziness and insomnia.

Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) (SLES): Used in car washes, garage floor cleaners, engine degreasers and 90% of personal-care products that foam. Eye damage, depression, labored breathing, diarrhea, skin irritation and even death.

Sunscreen chemicals: Avobenzone, benzphenone, ethoxycinnamate, PABA are commonly used ingredients that are known free radical generators and are believed to damage DNA or lead to cancers.

Triclosan: Synthetic antibacterial ingredient. EPA registers it as a pesticide, posing risks to human health and environment. Classified as a chlorophenol, chemicals suspected of causing cancer in humans.

PEG(Polyethylene glycol): Made by ethoxylating Propylene Glycol. Dangerous levels of dioxin have been found as a by-product of the ethoxylations process. PEGs are in everything including personal car, baby car and sunscreens.

Phthalates: Found in many products, usually not listed on labels. Health effects include damage to liver/ kidneys, birth defects, decreased sperm counts and early breast development is boys and girls.

Propylene Glycol(PG) and Butylene Glycol: Petroleum plastics. EPA considers PG so toxic it requires gloves, clothing, goggles and disposal by burying. EPA warns against skin contact to prevent brain, liver and kidney abnormalities.

FD&C Color and Pigments: Synthetic colors from coal tar contain heavy metal salts that deposit toxins in skin, causing skin sensitivity/irritation. Absorption can cause depletion of oxygen and death. Animals studies show almost all are carcinogenic.

Parabens (Methyl, Butyl, Ethyl, Propyl) Used as preservatives. Not always labeled. Used in deodorants and other skin care products. They have been found in breast cancer tumors. May contribute to sterility in males, hormone imbalance in females and early puberty.

Dioxin: Won't appear in ingredients. Often in antiabacterial ingredients like triclosan, emulsifiers, PEGs and ethoxylated cleansers like sodium laureth sulfate. Dioxin causes cancer, reduced immunity, nervous system disorders, miscarriages and birth deformity.

Benzoyl Peroxide: Used in acne products, possible tumor promoter. May act as mutagen; produces DNA damage in human and other mammalian cells. Also, toxic by inhalation. Eye, skin and respiratory irritant.

DEA (Diethanolamine), MEA(Monoethanolamine) and TEA (Triethanolamine) This foam booster is a skin/ eye irritant and causes contact dermatitis . Easily absorbed through skin to accumulate in body organs and the brain.

And if that's not enough you may want to avoid these top 10 compounds found in food:

5 Ways you are Exposed to GMOs Without Eating Them

Natural Cures Not Medicine on Facebook: www.facebook.com/naturalcuresnotmedicine

You don’t have to ingest GMOs as food in order to be exposed to them. There are plenty of other ways that GMOs come into our lives in many other forms.

Beauty Care Products
Many beauty care products like deodorant sprays, lotions, and facial cleansers, contain GMO derivatives. Look out for denatured alcohol which is simply ethanol made from BT corn. Also be weary of creams made with soy protein isolates, or dehydrogenated soy ingredients as these are also likely GMO.

Cotton
Is that shirt that you have on right now Organic? GM cotton covers more than 15 million hectares on the planet is accounts for more than 70 percent of all cotton grown. Chances are that your cotton swabs and balls are also GM Cotton.

Ink
While soy ink is marketed as an alternative to petroleum based products it is made from GM soy beans. Soy ink is printed on a variety of items from newspapers to magazines. It is also readily absorbed through the skin.

Hand Sanitizer
Not only do hand sanitizers fuel the creation of antibiotic resistant super bugs but they also contain ethanol made from GM corn.

Gasoline

When you go to the pump and see those little stickers that are appearing everywhere that say “May Contain up to 10% ethanol” you can rest assured that it is not ethanol derived from organically grown corn. The idiotic government subsidies shoved into the horribly inefficient process of ethanol production are ending up as fumes in traffic that you and I are breathing in.

5 Easy Natural Beauty Recipes

Natural Cures Not Medicine on Facebook: www.facebook.com/naturalcuresnotmedicine

Check out these five basic recipes that you can use to prepare wonderfully effective and totally green beauty products at home saving time, money, and planet.  Each recipe can be prepared in 3 minutes or less and costs only a few cents per application.

1. Cucumber Lifting Face Mask
Chop 1/2 cucumber and blend in a food processor with 3 mint leaves and a pinch of sea salt. This mask de-puffs and tightens sallow, dull skin.

2. Homemade Baby Wipes
Combine 1 cup witch hazel, 1 tablespoon glycerin, 1/2 cup strong green tea, and 1/2 cup rosewater. Shake well until blended. Pour the mix into a container with a lid. Fill the container with squares of clean muslin cloth or cheese cloth, so that they are fully soaked with the herbal solution. Keep in cool place and use the wipes during 10 days. Then prepare a new batch.  Adding vitamin C (up to 1/4 tsp) will extend the shelf life up to one month or even more.

3. Diaper rash solution
Combine green tea, fennel, chamomile and rosehip (1 teabag each) in a coffee press and fill it with hot water. Steep for five minutes and strain. Use the cool tea to spray on the sore areas. You can also use the herbal infusion on your face.

4. Acne Mask
Make a puree of 1 sweet onion, 1 garlic clove, 1 tsp honey and 1 tsp aloe juice in a food processor. Prepare several gauze pads the size of your face (cut out the round holes for eyes, since you don’t need the onion puree anywhere near eyes) and soak them in the smelly goo. Apply to your face for 10 minutes or until the mix dries up. Carefully remove and rinse the face clean.

5. Banana Bliss Hair Pack
This mask prevents and treats hair loss. Mash 1 ripe banana with 2 tbsp honey, 2 tbsp brandy or cognac, and 1 tsp apple cider vinegar. Apply generously to shampooed, towel-dried hair, cover with PVC-free shower cap and let sit for 15 minutes. Wash off with warm water.
