Jamie Oliver - Nugget experiment epic failure
Jamie Oliver is famous in the UK for his healthy food videos and tv shows. But here is a short video of Jamie in America trying to show children that companies are making Mechanically separated chicken nuggets and how bad they are for you. He even makes them in front of the children. This was supposed to be an experiment that left the children not wanting these nuggets. In the end he asked them who wanted one and they all raised their hands and actually ate the stuff. EPIC FAIL. America...? What is going on...? Seriously?

ReplyDeleteI am a very healthy eater, and I believe that if we are going to sacrifice a poor chicken, we might as well eat the whole chicken, this was a perfectly good way to utilize the left over chicken, as long as the chicken was raised healthy and with out any hormones. I am sure no child in Africa, Asia or any other place where people are starving will turn the nugget away, so I don't believe it was a fail. However, I do believe that we need to take things so personally, being in the US or in any country doesn't mean a thing, it's the ignorance of people and the manipulation of governments and big corporation into feeding us Sh...ty food that I would frown upon, people just need to be more aware of what they put into their body.
DeleteBefore staring, I apologize if my answer sounds strong, it is just my opinion, I don't intend to attack you. I think it is not healthy at all, let alone just eating the chicken, but all the additives and the fact that it is fried food. Remember also this was done live, but the ones you get at your fast food dispenser are also treated for preserving. And that line there "Africa, Asia... where people are starving..." that is a little self superlative (i might say; an ego affliction of some people that live cloistered in the fictions of the "first world"); most of the real food grown in countires (not the whole continents) with enslaved economies, goes precisely to "western" (term forged in the old fashioned eurocentric supremacy) nations for deals that might well be economic rapes, its not like the land is barren and they need imported processed food to eat, they were doing all too well before colonialism, they don't need it, they need to be left as they were, not used as a derogative example for causing guilt. But yeah, I agree what happend here in the video is caused by ignorance and apathy of the mass and pop culture in societies where families are being dismanteled as a basic unity of human growth, interactivity and development; and the mainstream media (propelled and controlled by elitist means and ends) is taking over the education and therefore, the way of thinking of big portions of the population. What we need is to first step down from the irrationally overfed ego, both ourselves and our children, and start looking for a change in point of view, attitude, values, and of course actions. People won't try or will give up if they keep entangled to the mainstream culture, we need a real self discovery and mastery of self in order to prevail inside the mindless herds. Eventually this will work as anchors to stop a ship that is going to an abyss. Its not only about telling children a shocking fact so they are scared and avoid it, but rather a full education of intelligence and compassion over the years so that when they are presented with a situation like this, they will react different. Sadly the kids in the video are already brainwashed by the conventionalisms of a degenerated society.
DeleteWhat's going on is that Americans have the freedom to eat whatever crap they want. And these style nuggets were sold by McDonald's all over the world, and Britons ate them too, so maybe get off your high horse?
ReplyDeleteAmericans... I lived there for 30 years, your eating habits and attitude are why you are the fattest, unhealthiest bigoted people on the planet.
DeleteLISTEN to what he say's at :30 to :35!
DeleteAND stay in your country, the democrat party gives
us more than enough morons as it is!
Just because Americans and Brits have documented 'rights/freedoms' does not mean
Deletethey're right. It just allows you the liberty to make a fool of yourself, say stupid stuff and
ravage your health with all sorts of garbage;for which you are willing to pay cash.
Just shut up and keep eating please usa. sooner you eat yourselves to the grave the better for the rest of the planet.
DeleteIt's still chicken! In some fancy restaurants bone marrow is considered a delicacy.
ReplyDeleteand in most countries you are considered a dumbass
DeleteIronic.
ReplyDeleteAmericans being hated on by the island that hosts: Black pudding, Toad in the Hole, Haggis, Winkles, Fried Laver bread served with bacon, Faggots (a bundle of off-cut meats including the belly, liver and heart of a pig stuffed into a membrane), Scotch eggs....
....shall I go on?
And a nice dish of jugged hare? One thing I notice here is
Deletethat Brits can be as rude as they accuse us of being.
Well played chap, lulz, Jus kidn, born in good ol P.A. right here, but yeah, I'm pickn up on the hostility here from the brits too, don't blame us, blame our government, who are controlled now by the central banking system, a rothschild corporation, that's from where?? ;j
DeleteWeren't the Two Fat Ladies from...where?
DeleteToad in the Hole is just sausage in pastry... Sure most of those things are made from offal or off-cuts, but that's not the point - none of them are soaked in ammonia or treated withe chemical colourings. Eating unusual parts of an animal isn't the problem so much as the massive additive intake...
DeleteIt is not about "brits" vs "´mericans", it is about a real danger that is engulfing the future of "westernized" societies. It is about the ingorance and sedation of masses, the loss of values and wisdom to a fast paced life where everything you get is pre-processed, including your food, your education, your beliefs, the path of your life itslef. It is about overcoming that ego-ruled life of disconnection and embrace humility to stand up with solid bases and face the disasters we have ourselves let been put into.
DeleteDdraig64: First, are we really the fattest country in the world? How about you get your facts straight. www.infoplease.com/world/statistics/obesity.html
ReplyDeleteSecondly, I am so tired of "American bashing". Clearly you liked this country well enough to live here for 30 years. I have to ask though, did it take 30 years for you to become a hypocrite or was that something you gleaned from your perfect homeland. If the United States was so inhospitable, maybe you should have gone back to your home country where obesity and bigotry isn't so prevalent.
I often wonder what country sports a truly perfect society. Is where your from idyllic? I imagine your country has just as many arrogant, ignorant, bigoted, obese, unhealthy individuals as much as, if not more than a lot of the countries that are indicated in the list I sent you a link to. Where does your country rank?
Truthfully, I'm glad you don't live here anymore. People such as yourself only perpetuate the things you so blatantly complain about. Having one less hypocritical, cynical, jackwad taking up space in the United States only makes more room for people who really want to be here and who are willing to not be so small-minded and judgmental.
Your stupid comments are a travesty. Hopefully wherever you're from, there aren't more people like you. I'd rather be fat than stupid. That, my friend, you just can't fix.
Do you realize that anyone who says go back to your own country must leave too! We all came here on a boat except the people who lived here, the American Indians!
Deleteamerica deserves all the bashing and more-u guys are the benchmark for all things fucked up. Your foreign policy of murder, monsanto and gmo,the disgusting food you produce, the disgusting humans u produce, murdering yr own in 911 black op,your racism, bush cheney rumsfeld war criminals, your insane politicians oh i could go on and on and on.The sooner your demise comes the better.good riddance to bad rubbish
DeleteDuring WWII Americans and Brits died right alongside of each other and saved each others butts on many occasions. Do we really have the privilege to argue eating habits?
DeleteWell...I watched and listened Jamie Oliver...I'm from the USA and I will NEVER eat another nugget etc...again unless I'm starving to death !!! Thank you for taking the time and a lot of effort to try and teach us something...much appreciated...and my apologies for the rude people's remarks from my country...so uncalled for !!! Thank you Jamie <3
ReplyDeleteDdraig64's comment is justified by the other comments on here...
ReplyDeleteAnyone who eats anything with chicken broth consumes the very same thing! And that is actually good for you! Yes, you boil the chicken carcass to get every bit of meat, cartilage, bone marrow, and even some of the fat for thickening. This guy is a quack. He loves chicken soup every time he gets a bad cold. Get back into the real world people.
ReplyDeleteMy arthritis doctor said we eat the wrong part of the chicken. We SHOULD be eating the cartilage, marrow, etc. Instead we want to toss that out and buy the same thing in pill form. People like this have an agenda. Generally, it's to get people off meat altogether. I love meats, a great source of amino acids without the flatulence of beans. The veganazis be damned.
DeletePlease look up the processes to making chicken nuggets... Jamie Oliver actually made something most people would try.
DeleteWhereas real chicken nuggets is where the entire chicken is smashed and pressed through a sieve... bones, eyes, feet, guts and all. It comes out looking like pink mashmallow and because it's raw and crawling with bacteria, it will be washed with ammonia, and soaked in it (NOT VERY HEALTHY NOW IS IT).
Then because it tastes terrible it is reflavored artificially to taste like chicken.
Finally, since it is weirdly colored like 'Pepto Bismol' pink, it is dyed with artificial color.
P.s. chicken nuggets are soooo easy to make, you lot are just a bunch of lazy bastards, your children deserve better
Perhaps he should also have shown the male chicks which are a 'by-product' off the factory farmed egg industry being thrown in the grinder whilst still alive, feathers and all... that is also what goes in this stuff. Or the bleach they wash it with to remove the salmonella... IT IS NOT THE SAME AS HOMEMADE BROTH!
ReplyDeleteW/O going into the animal cruelty aspect of lg scale food production, I grew up on a farm and we used every bit of the animal. Hogs head cheese, pickled pigsfeet, jowels, tails, nuts, u name it. It is not the parts of the animal that are bad, it is what they are combined with and how much u eat. Too much chicken fat in the nuggets, lol Of course everyone knows fresh is better :)
ReplyDeleteWho cares if they're cleaned with ammonia, and/or bleach? As long as it's cleaned afterwards, it's fine by me. You're right, it's not that the body of the chicken is gross, it's our perception that eating that part is gross. Really it's no different than any other part of the body. If we were lions we would eat the entire chicken and think nothing of eating the organs et al. What's it really matter?
ReplyDeleteBasically the entire chicken is smashed and pressed through a sieve... bones, eyes, feet, guts and all. It comes out looking like pink mashmallow, because it's crawling with bacteria, its washed and soaked with ammonia, Then because it tastes terrible it is reflavored artificially. Finally, since it is weirdly colored like 'Pepto Bismol' pink, it is dyed with artificial color..
DeleteOnly a lazy fat fuck would say it's ok to feed your own children with this shit
he starts out saying "they aren't made this way in this country but.." so the point is? I'm a brit btw, not that i usually wave flags, some of our food is rubbish, LOTS of it is superb, tourists rarely find good food whatever the country - don't be tourists, be travelers, get off the tourist trail and find real life; seek out not new horizons but look with new eyes...
ReplyDeleteOne could mix some human shit with some animal shit, tell an American he has the "freedom" to eat it and watch him get at it.. :)
ReplyDeleteGod damn, you keyboard warriors will argue about ANYTHING. Even chicken. And the guy that posted this is my hero:
