Fish oil:  There is some data that suggests the DHA in fish oil helps to lower high blood pressure.

Hawthorn:  A trial involving 79 patients with type 2 diabetes taking a 1200 mg daily supplement of hawthorn for 16 weeks showed that those taking the herb had a significant reduction in diastolic blood pressure.








Remember, regular exercise, healthy fats such as those found in avocados and coconut oils, and avoiding fast food can help prevent heart disease and will lessen the chances of you having to pay extra for health insurance down the road.  Lifestyle choices make all the difference and prevention is the best way to preserve your quality of life.
